1945

Bajaj Auto is established as M/s Bachraj Trading Corporation Private Limited.

1960

Bajaj Auto becomes a Public Limited Company.

1970

Bajaj Auto manufactures its 100,000th vehicle.

1985

Waluj manufacturing plant, Aurangabad inaugurated. Production achieved in record time of 16 months.

1986

500,000 vehicles produced and sold in a single financial year.

1995

Bajaj Auto Ltd. celebrates its golden jubilee. Ten millionth vehicle manufactured, with 1 million vehicles produced and sold in a financial year.

1998

Production begins at the Chakan plant.

2001

The iconic Pulsar is introduced.

2003

The Pulsar DTS-i is launched, with 107,115 vehicles sold in a single month.

2009

Upgraded Pulsar 150 and 180 introduced.
